Policeman Buys Bed and Desk for Troubled Boy Who Had None | The Good News Network

A Sumter, South Carolina policeman responded to a call from a 13 year-old boy who said he was tired of fighting with his mom and didn’t want to live at home anymore.

When Officer Gaetano Acerra reached the home of Cameron Simmons, he noticed that the young man was sleeping on the floor because he didn’t have a bed. In fact, his bedroom didn’t have any furniture in it at all.

He tried to sooth the child, reminding him that he had a roof over his head, and left his cell phone number in case the boy needed to talk. But he decided to go a step or two further.
